Text: Signature image of Ronglu aka. Baron Jung-Lu, by George Stuart.

Highly placed at court and close “best friend” of the Empress Dowager.

Jung-Lu early on attached himself and his troops to the future Empress Dowager. His loyalty and his relatively progressive views were said to be responsible for the salvation of the Boxer rebellion of 1900. He was a counter to the reactionary Prince Tuan, who encouraged the Boxer attacks. Embroidery by LU Zhengliang Arts Studio.
