A man of honor, dedicated to saving “his country’s” culture.

Davis was a man of many years of public service both military and political. As leader of the Confederacy in a heart-breaking conflict between brothers, he was to feel the weight of ostracism when his cause failed.

Current historians see him as courageous and dedicated to an unfortunate mission
