| An August Manipulator. |
| Livia was married at 20 to Octavius (later Emperor Augustus). By 18 B.C.E. she was personified by contemporary Romans as the perfect aristocratic lady—beautiful, quietly charming, exacting, using her own personality to manipulate the family and its interests. After Octavius’ death, she was called Julia Augusta.
Restorers' Comment: Body was resurfaced and she was given new shoes and new headgear.
