Horse and man were one.

This Lakota warrior is in a branch of the Teton Sioux and cousin of the Oglala Sioux. As such he was likely involved in the many internecine feuds that so weakened the Indian nations. He was a master of horsemanship as were they all after the horse was introduced by the Spanish.
