Attila inherited leadership of a powerful Hunnish people then moving into the Caucasus.  He was cunning, ruthless and charismatic, and called "The Scourge of God."  His career of conquest threatened the Roman Empire in Europe. After his death, his minions and the Huns virtually disappeared as a threat to Europe.
